FAQ

What is the daily schedule like?

This varies from camp to camp. The general schedule for every camp is included on the camp page. Parents will received a more detailed schedule via email the week of camp!

What is the camper-to-coach ratio?

We aim for 6-8 camper for every coach/counselor. This means more hands on instruction, a safer environment, and a more personal experience. Unlike other camps, our counselor staff is made up of active coaches and wrestlers.

Will there be a Certified Trainer or EMT available?

We believe in safety first. Every camp will have a Certified Trainer available.

What are the qualifications of the coaching staff?

We vet every coach and counselor who steps on the mat with a thorough background check through the University.
In addition to this, all staff receive Sexual Awareness training through the University.

What type of gear or equipment is required, and do campers need to bring their own?

Wrestlers should bring the following for every session:
- T-Shirt
- Shorts without pockets
- Wrestling Shoes
- Mouthpiece (Required for braces)
Optional Items:
- Headgear
- Kneepads
- Fresh T-Shirt for every session
- Wrestling Journal

What are the accommodations like if it’s an overnight camp?

Wrestlers will stay in the campus dorms. They will be assigned to a room and could potentially have a roommate. Boys and Girls will be located on separate floors and will not be permitted to commingle in the dorms.

Is there a supervision during non-training times?

Yes. Wrestlers are required to stay in designated areas and are not permitted to leave without approval from the Camp Director. Wrestlers found outside of these spaces without the approval will be sent home.

Are there any off-the-mat activities or downtime for campers?

This depends on the length of the break. Wrestlers are expected to use this time to recover, take notes, change shirts, and rehydrate for the next session. For breaks longer than an hour, we will put out activities like Spikeball, Mario Kart, and/or Super Smash Brothers.

What is the process for registration and payment?

Parents can register their children through the various camp pages. We process all of our camp registrations through Ryzer.

Are there any discounts or scholarships available?

Yes! You can request one through https://www.lifeuniversitywrestlingcamps.com/scholarships. Scholarships are limited on every camp.

What is the refund policy if my child cannot attend?

We do not provide refunds. Since spots at all of our camps are limited, please reach out and inform our Camp Director, Tre Horton, via email wrestlingcamps@life.edu.

Are there any guidelines for behavior or conduct?

YES! We have the Standards of Conduct available on our website.
